To Do Lists

I thought I would share with you some of our “To Do” lists for the Fringe Festival.

This will give you can idea of how we spent our holiday weekend giving you the best festival possible!

Over Memorial Day Weekend, we did the following:

+Got two dozen bagels and cream cheese for volunteers, curators, staff and venue techs.

+Loaded all nine performance venues fitting / reformatting them with technical equipment, audience seating, etc.

+Prepared housing for over forty artists staying with us throughout the festival.

+Installed Visual Fringe at the Art Academy of Cincinnati.

+Fenced Central Side of Know Theatre’s building for Visual Fringe mural.

+Started base of Visual Fringe wall mural.

+Promoted at Findley Market and Taste of Cincinnati with our great volunteers.

+Held two orientations for our wonderful volunteers. (Over 150 people volunteer at Fringe.)

+Designed electronic slide show recognizing our great Fringe Festival Sponsors.

+Laid out the schedule for Fringe Bar Series performers

+Finished “How to see every Fringe event” schedule.

+Debated on how much Coffee Emporium’s “Iced Vanilla Lattes” to send to different venues.

+Linked with all 37 Fringe productions on their technical needs.

+Smoked cigarettes and drank Christian Moerlein beer

+Moved Volunteer T-Shirts to volunteer headquarters at Lucy Blues.

+Purchased ten cases of bottle water and fifteen case of soda for the festival.

To Do List:

-Finish Visual Fringe Wall Mural.

-Divide up the Embrace Sweets concessions for the performance venues.

-Dress rehearse all 37 productions with our skilled venue techs.

-Premiere Film Fringe at Media Bridges on May 31 @ 7 p.m.

-Close Jackson Street on Monday June 2 for Car / Street and Fringe Olympics.

-Figure out what Fringe Olympics is.

-Hang signage recognizing our great Fringe Festival Sponsors.

-Schedule curtain speeches for Bruffy, Kalagayan, Vosmeier, Syroney and assorted Board Members.

-Smoke cigarettes and drink Christian Moerlein beer

-Launch 2008 Cincinnati Fringe Festival!

-Tally Pick of the Fringe

-Celebrate opening of The 2008 Cincinnati Fringe Festival
